Soto won his first five starts, including the Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes (gr. II) at 2 and the West Virginia Derby (gr. III) in track-record time while recording a 114 Beyer Speed Figure at 3. In his last start, he finished second to Ten Most Wantedin the Super Derby (gr. II). He earned $666,164.
Seven-year-old Soto, whose first foals are yearlings, is out of the Crafty Prospector mare Subtle Fragrance. He formerly stood at Jeffry Morris' Highclere near Lexington.
