A half-brother to Horse of the Year Mineshaft , Monashee Mountain has sired eight stakes winners and the earners of $6.4 million. His added-money winners include Australian group I winner La Montagna and European group winner Le Giare, plus Shamoan, who won the $250,000 Iowa Derby and was graded stakes-placed.
A $1-million Keeneland July yearling and an Irish group winner, Monashee Mountain is by Danzig out of Kentucky Broodmare of the Year Prospectors Delite (by Mr. Prospector). He formerly stood at Ashford Stud near Versailles, Ky.
Thunderello, who ran second in the NAPA Breeders' Cup Sprint (gr. I), has sired two stakes-placed runners among his 35 winners from two crops of racing age. He has progeny earning of $1.1 million.
A stakes winner prior to the Breeders' Cup, Thunderello is by Montbrook out of multiple stakes producer On the Square (by In Reality). He formerly stood at John T.L. Jones III and Robert Trussell's Walmac Farm near Lexington.
