Hong Kong-bound juvenile Craggy Cat (Statue Of Liberty) brought 280,000 guineas at the penultimate session of the Tattersalls autumn horses in training sale in Newmarket.
The two-time winner for trainer Luca Cumani will join John Moore in Hong Kong. Alastair Donald of the Kern Lillingston Association outbid David Loder to get the colt.
The British Bloodstock Agency’s Martin Percival outbid Loder at 280,000 guineas for multiple stakes winner Assertive (by Bold Edge). Percival was acting for Lady Whent, who was buying out her two partners in the colt.
Agent Anthony Stroud was shopping for Dubai Carnival prospects, among them 4-year-old King Of Argos (by Sadler’s Wells), whom he bought for 205,000 guineas. Trainer Walter Swinburn was the underbidder.
U.S.-bound purchases include 2-year-old filly Gypsy Baby (by Modigliani), a winner for trainer Richard Hannon. She was bought for 135,000 guineas by Gordian Troeller to join Californian trainer Bob Hess. Owners Paul and Cathy Schroder will campaign the filly.
