The top five remained in the exact top five slots on the leading sires list, but there's a new face in the No. 6 position. Broad Brush, whose son Include earned $450,000 in winning the May 12 Pimlico Special Handicap (gr. I), moved up to sixth from the 13th spot.

Broad Brush has progeny earnings of $1,968,648 for 2001 and is only one stakes winner away from reaching a career total of 70 added-money winners. Broad Brush (Ack Ack--Hay Patcher, by Hoist the Flag) stands at Graham J. Beck's Gainesway Farm near Lexington.

The leader of the pack remains Fly So Free, with progeny earnings of $4,313,408, most of it earned by Captain Steve in the Dubai World Cup (UAE-I). Fly So Free (Time for a Change--Free to Fly, by Stevward) stands at Robert N. Clay's Three Chimneys Farm near Midway, Ky.
