Lycius to Briar Hill in Massachusetts

Nineteen-year-old Lycius has sired the career earners of $17 million.

Lycius, sire of several champions, will relocate to George Brown's Briar Hill Farm near Rehoboth, Mass., for 2008 and will stand for $2,000.

An English group I winner, Lycius has sired 29 stakes winners, including 2007 Canadian graded winner Palladio, who was a 2005 Sovereign Award winner. Lycius sired English and Italian champion Slap Shot and Italian champion Hello. As a broodmare sire, he is represented by grade I winner Flower Alley and another graded winner, Cactus Ridge.

Nineteen-year-old Lycius (Mr. Prospector--Lypatia, by Lyphard) has sired the career earners of $17 million. His 2007 progeny earnings of $1.1 million will place him at the top of Massachusetts' leading sires list.

Lycius formerly stood at Mill Creek Farm near Stillwater, N.Y.
