Castleton Lyons Prices Bernstein at $20,000

Bernstein, who stands at the Ryan family's Castleton Lyons near Lexington, will stand in 2008 for $20,000, down from his 2007 fee of $30,000. Bernstein (Storm Cat--La Affirmed, by Affirmed) is the sire of 11 stakes winners this year.

"We recognize that the market is entering a period of stabilization, and we wish to ensure that our valued clients are in a position to make a return on their investment," said farm president Shane Ryan.

Following are the fees for all Castleton Lyons stallions:

Bernstein  $20,000

Toccet  $12,500

Sir Shackleton $5,000

Wiseman's Ferry  $5,000
