Two-time French listed winner Shujoon, by Sakhee, topped the Oct. 29 opener of the Tattersalls autumn horses in training sale in Newmarket when the 3-year-old was purchased for 240,000 guineas (about $519,000) by agent Dick O’Gorman.

Shujoon, offered for Rabbah Bloodstock from Andre Fabre’s stable, is set to race in Saudi Arabia.

Group III-placed juvenile Dubai Time, by Dubai Destination, will race in Hong Kong for trainer David Hall after bringing 220,000 guineas (about $480,000). Alastair Donald of the Kern Lillingston Association outbid agent Willie Leung for the colt.

Several purchases are bound for the United States, including three-time winning juvenile Mr Keppel, a half-brother to Oak Tree Derby (gr. IIT) winner Devious Boy (by (Dr Devious). He will be trained in California for Tommy Town Thoroughbreds by Doug O’Neill. Agent Jamie McCalmont paid 155,000 guineas (about $355,000) for the colt.

During the Oct. 29 session, 230 horses sold for 5,025,400 guineas (about $10.8 million), up slightly from the same session last year, when 222 horses sold. The average of 21,850 guineas (about $47,000) was down from 22,532 in 2006, and the median dropped to 10,000 guineas (about $21,600) from 11,000 guineas.
