Grade II winner Partner's Hero will stand next year at Castle Rock Farm near Unionville, Pa. The 13-year-old son of Danzig and half-brother to champion sprinter Safely Kept formerly stood at Northview Stallion Station near Chesapeake City, Md. His 2008 fee is $2,500 live foal.
Partner's Hero has sired a dozen stakes winners, including grade II winner New York Hero and grade III winners Love Match, Private Chef, and Heros Reward. The last-named won the Oct. 21 Nearctic Stakes (Can-IIT) to push his earnings to $543,616.
Partner's Hero's 2007 progeny earnings of $2.4 million places the stallion third on the current Pennsylvania leading sires list. For his career, he has progeny earnings of nearly $9.7 million, as well as average earnings per starter of $46,158.
As a racehorse, Partner's Hero won the Kentucky Cup Sprint Stakes (gr. II) and four other stakes and placed in eight others. He is out of the Winning Hit mare Safely Home.
