Pro Prado enters stud in 2008.

Stakes winner Pro Prado, who was stakes-placed three times to Smarty Jones  , will enter stud in 2008 at Hourigan Horse Farm near Anthony, N.M. His fee is $1,500.

As a 3-year-old in 2004 for breeder/owner Juanita Winn, Pro Prado ran against subsequent champion Smarty Jones in the Arkansas Derby (gr. II), Rebel Stakes, and Southwest Stakes and finished third in all three Oaklawn Park stakes. He had started the year with a triumph in the Mountain Valley Stakes at Oaklawn. Pro Prado also ran in that year's Kentucky Derby (gr. I) and was unplaced to Smarty Jones.

Pro Prado retired with 20 wins or placings from 37 starts and earnings of $397,514. A 6-year-old son of El Prado, he is out of the stakes-winning Proper Reality mare Mama's Pro.
