Doncaster’s October yearling sale began Oct. 25 and was topped by a 50,000 guineas Acclamation filly out of the two-time winner Just A Glimmer.

Devon-based trainer Stuart Kittow signed for the filly, who was bred by Mick and Pat Redditt and consigned from Catridge Farm Stud.

The sale’s 887,400 guineas turnover compared with 776,400 guineas in 2006, while the 5,189 guineas average was up 10% and the 3,500 guineas median rose by 9%.

An evening session was set to follow, concluding the sale.
