Percy Hope worked four furlongs in :47 2/5 for trainer Tony Reinstedler at Pimlico Sunday. After the work, Reinstedler said "it's a go" for the Lone Star Derby winner to race in the Preakness.Jon Court was aboard the colt for the work, which went in splits of :11 4/5, :23 3/5, and :35 with a gallop out time of 1:00, according to the Pimlico clockers."It was a very good work and he did it well within himself," said Reinstedler. "He'll walk tomorrow and probably Tuesday as well, although he might jog a little bit Tuesday. He'll train again on Wednesday. It was the right thing to do to pass the Derby. I wanted to have a horse for the whole year."By winning the Lone Star Derby, Percy Hope became eligible for a $1 million bonus should he go on to win a leg of the Triple Crown series. After watching Percy Hope work, Reinstedler flew to Kentucky, where he had a horse entered at Churchill Downs. He will return to Maryland on Tuesday evening, with assistant Leslie Davis overseeing the colt until then.
