Indian Blessing Morning-Line Choice in Juvenile Fillies
Frizette Stakes (gr. I) winner Indian Blessing was installed as the 3-1 morning-line favorite for the $2 million Grey Goose Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (gr. I) Oct. 27 at Monmouth Park. Indian Blessing last worked in preparation for the Juvenile Fillies at Belmont Park Oct. 21, going five furlongs in a handy :58.42. Brereton Jones' unbeaten Proud Spell, the impressive 4 1/4-length winner of the Sept. 15 Matron Stakes (gr. II) at Belmont, is the 5-1 second choice under jockey Gabriel Saez. Trainer Larry Jones saddles the daughter of Proud Citizen who outworked stablemate Hard Spun Oct. 22 with a five-furlong work in :58.60 at her home track, Delaware Park. Hard Spun, prepping for the Breeders' Cup Classic - Powered by Dodge (gr. I), worked the same distance in 1:00.20. Proud Spell drew post 10 in the 14-horse field. Stetson Land and Cattle's Cry and Catch Me, trained by Baffert, and Janis Whithams' Izarra, trained by Ron McAnally, are the co-third choices at 6-1 in the morning line. Cry and Catch Me, winner of the Sept. 29 Oak Leaf Stakes (gr. I) at Santa Anita Park, drew post 13, while Izarra, who missed by a nose in the Oak Leaf, drew post eight.
