Acclamation Colt Tops Tattersalls Session

Friday’s session of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale was topped by  a 72,000 guineas ($154,418) Acclamation colt consigned from Shinglis Stud and bought by agent Amanda Skiffington.

Earlier in the evening Gill Richardson, standing with Hamdan Al Maktoum’s racing manager Angus Gold, bought an Efisio filly consigned by Sussex Stud for 62,000 guineas ($132,971).

For the day, 139 yearlings of 216 offered sold for 1,860,000 guineas ($3,989,142), for an average of 13,381 guineas ($28,698) and a median of 9,000 guineas ($19,302).

At last year's comparable session, 161 yearlings sold for 2,503,000 guineas, for an average of 15,547 guineas and a 12,000 guineas median.
