Favorites at Woodbridge, the first off-track betting parlor operated by the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority, is scheduled to open Oct. 17.

The teletheater offers horse racing fans luxury box-style seating with a flat-panel television at each of its 205 stations, the NJSEA said in a release. Horse racing from around the world, along with other major sporting events, will be shown on more than 500 screens throughout the 23,000-square-foot facility.

Favorites at Woodbridge is located in Woodbridge Township in northern New Jersey between Monmouth Park and Meadowlands, the two NJSEA-operated racetracks. It will be open in time for the simulcast of the Breeders' Cup World Championships Oct. 26-27 at Monmouth.

Dining in the facility is provided by McLoone’s Restaurants. “McLoone’s at Favorites” offers an upscale dining experience and is accessible from within the teletheater and through a separate outside entrance. A 1,000-square-foot bar anchors the Favorites facility, and the bar dining area has an additional 100 seats.  For more casual fare, there is a 65-seat café dining area.

Favorites at Woodbridge, open seven days a week day and night, is the second OTB parlor to open in New Jersey. Favorites at Vineland, operated by the Atlantic City Racing Association, opened earlier this year in southern New Jersey.

Up to 15 OTB parlors can be licensed in the state.
