Three Chimneys Announces 2008 Stud Fees Exchange Rate , who stood at Padua in Central Florida in 2007, will stand his first season in Kentucky in 2008 at Three Chimneys. His stud fee will be $25,000, rather than the $10,000 he stood for last season. War Chant (Danzig—Hollywood Wildcat, by Kris s.) will see his 2007 fee of $30,000 drop to $20,000 for '08. Also, the fee for 2001 Horse of the Year Point Given (Thunder Gulch —Turko's Turn, by Turkoman) will drop from $30,000 to $15,000. The fee for Medallist(Touch Gold —Santaria, by Star de Naskra) will be reduced from $8,500 to $7,500. All other stallions, including Dynaformer, Smarty Jones , and Rahy, will remain at their current rates. Also, the farm announced it will contractually limit the stallion books to 110 mares. “It has always been our (informal) custom to limit the number of mares our stallions breed,” said Robert Clay, owner of Three Chimneys, in a release. “We decided this year to make that pledge in our contracts. The maximum book size for all Three Chimneys stallions for the 2008 Northern Hemisphere season will be 110 mares.” All Three Chimneys fees are guaranteed live foal.
