After a fifth-place finish in the Oct. 7 Spinster Stakes (gr. I) at Keeneland, Martin Schwartz's Asi Siempre has been retired and will be sold at the Fasig-Tipton selected fall mixed sale Nov. 4, trainer Patrick Biancone said Oct. 11.

“She is in the sale in early November, and the only race really possible before then would be the Breeders’ Cup (Distaff), and I’m not sure she would have a shot; it’s as simple as that,” the trainer said. “She was a lovely horse to train and we had a lot of fun with her, and it’s good to see her going to a new duty in good shape.”

A Kentucky-bred daughter of El Prado  out of the Silver Hawk mare Siempre Asi, the 5-year-old mare won seven of 21 starts and earned $953,300 while winning or hitting the board in 10 stakes. She won the Spinster in 2006 and finished second to Indian Vale in the Fleur de Lis Handicap (gr. II) earlier this year.

Asi Siempre will be consigned by Bluewater Sales Agency as hip number 133 of the 184 horses consigned to the sale this year. Also consigned to the upcoming sale are graded stakes-winning broodmare prospects Appealing Zophie, Cotton Blossom, Cash Included, Dream Rush, Ermine, Lear’s Princess, Magnificent Song, Pussycat Doll, and Round Pond, among others.
