TOBA Awards Dinner to Feature Blood, Sweat & Tears

The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA) has announced that legendary '70s band Blood, Sweat & Tears will perform at the organization's 2001 National Awards Dinner September 7 at Adena Springs Farm outside Midway, Ky.
Fronted by original vocalist David Clayton Thomas, the group's first album sold 10 million copies and contained gold singles "You've Made Me So Very Happy," "And When I Die," and "Spinning Wheel." The album won an unprecedented five Grammy awards, including Album of the Year.
The band will perform at the TOBA dinner following presentation of the 2001 awards, which will be hosted by Kentucky broadcaster Nick Clooney. TOBA will announce the National Breeder of the Year and and Owner of the Year that evening.
