Coolmore Stud will not stand Statue of Liberty in Australia, even though the 7-year-old son of Storm Cat is in Australia in quarantine. He will be released and head back to Ireland. Out of the Seattle Slew mare Charming Lassie, Statue of Liberty will be prepared for the Irish season despite having 102 mares booked to him in Australia at Aus$8,800.

Statue of Liberty, whose first foals are 2-year-olds, is represented by Italian stakes winner Black Mambazo and two stakes-placed runners.

Irish and New Zealand shuttler Daggers Drawn (Diesis--Sun and Shade, by Ajdal) has been sold by Joe Foley's Irish farm, Ballyhane Stud, to Dr. Bruno Bardi, who will stand the 12-year-old at Allevamento I Mandorli in Italy next year.

Daggers Drawn, who stood the Southern Hemisphere season at Curraghmore Stud, has sired 11 stakes winners, including New Zealand champions Boulevardofdreams and Iflooxcouldkill and 2007 Italian group winner Shot Bless.
