(edited press release)
Pussycat Doll, a five-time stakes winner and three-time grade I winner, will be offered at the Nov. 4 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Fall Mixed Sale, Hill 'n' Dale consignment announced Oct. 3.
Pussycat Doll captured the first of three grade I victories at the end of her 3-year-old campaign, rolling to a 5 3/4 length victory in the La Brea Stakes (gr. I) at Santa Anita over grade I Test Stakes winner Leave Me Alone. In the 2006 Humana Distaff (gr. I) on May 5, she scored a one-length triumph over a field that included three other grade I winners. Pussycat Doll also captured the 2007 Santa Monica Handicap (gr. I) by an easy four lengths while carrying top weight.
By Kentucky Derby (gr. I) and Preakness Stakes (gr. I) winner and Eclipse Award-winning champion Real Quiet, Pussycat Doll is the first foal out of grade I winner Hookedonthefeelin, who sold at last year's Fasig-Tipton November sale to Stonestreet Thoroughbred Holdings LLC for $2.9 million. Hookedonthefeelin's fourth foal, a 2-year-old filly by Vindication, broke her maiden in promising fashion at Belmont Park Sept. 23.
Pussycat Doll will be the only three-time grade I winner offered at this year's Fasig-Tipton sale.
