Champion Stevie Wonderboy to Stand for $17,500

Stevie Wonderboy, champion 2-year-old male of 2005, will begin his stallion career for a fee of $17,500. He will start his career at Brereton C. Jones' Airdrie Stud near Midway, Ky.

A son of Stephen Got Even  , Stevie Wonderboy captured the Bessemer Trust Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I) and Del Mar Futurity (gr. II) his championship season. He retired with career earnings of $1,058,940. His two grandsires, A.P. Indy and Summer Squall, are half-brothers, thus denoting an inbreeding to Broodmare of the Year Weekend Surprise.

Airdrie also announced 2008 fees for some of its other stallions:

Canadian Frontier  ..$7,500
Forest Grove……...$7,500
Friends Lake  …….. $15,000
Slew City Slew  …...$6,000

Fees for the other Airdrie stallions will be announced later.
