Stonewall Farm Stallions will once again stand grade I winner Medaglia d'Oro for a $40,000 fee. The son of El Pradoout of the Bailjumper mare Cappucino Bay finished second among first-crop sires by average at the Keeneland September select yearling sessions, his four yearlings averaging $296,250.
"We are aware of the market conditions and wanted to show sensitivity to the breeders of 2008," said general manager Bert Welker
Stonewall, owned by Audrey Haisfield and located near Versailles, Ky., will be the new home for grade I winner Lawyer Ron once he is retired from racing. His fee will be announced later.
Stonewall has limited the books to 135 mares.
