Snitzel, a group I-winning Australian son of Redoute's Choice, has arrived for stallion duty at John Messara's Arrowfield Stud in New South Wales, Australia, and has begun covering mares.
The 5-year-old stallion, who stood the Northern Hemisphere season at Shadai Stallion Station in Japan, was placed in quarantine upon his return because of the outbreak of equine influenza. According to Arrowfield, he remained disease free throughout the quarantine period and arrived at the farm in good health.
Produced from the Snippets mare Snippets' Lass, Snitzel won four group events and earned $1,026,550 (Australian funds). He covered 131 mares last year in his first breeding season.
