Richly Blended Preakness Bound

Raymond Dweck's Richly Blended, who won the mile Withers Stakes (gr. III) by 4 1/4 lengths at Aqueduct on May 5, is being pointed toward the Preakness Stakes (gr. I), according to trainer Ben Perkins Jr. Richly Blended is based at Monmonth Park and will head toward Pimlico next week.

Bred by Harry Mangurian Jr.'s Mockingbird Farm, Richly Blended (Rizzi--Valid Blend, by Valid Appeal) has won four of five races and earned $323,280. His sole loss came in the Wood Memorial Stakes (gr. II) behind Congaree and Monarchos.
