Tom Simon's Vinery has acquired a major interest in Florida stallion Pomeroy. The 6-year-old son of Boundary will stand at Vinery near Summerfield, Fla. Pomeroy stood the 2007 breeding season for $12,500 as the property of Silverleaf Farms at Cloverleaf Farms II, which closed its operation at the end of the breeding season.

Pomeroy, who was produced from the Seeking the Goldmare Questress, was a graded stakes winner at Saratoga three consecutive years. He captured the 2004 King's Bishop Stakes (gr. I) in stakes record time of 1:20.99 for seven furlongs, took the Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap (gr. II) at six furlongs the following year, and captured the 2006 Forego Stakes (gr. I) at seven furlongs. Pomeroy retired with seven wins from 18 races and earnings of $845,050.

Pomeroy's 2008 fee will be announced later.
