St. Leger Festival Yearling Sale Concludes

Doncaster’s new St. Leger Festival Yearling Sale concluded Sept. 13. with a gross of 2,050,300 guineas for 143 head sold at a clearance rate of 75.6%. The average was 14,338 guineas and the median 10,250 guineas.
Emma Balding, acting for her son Andrew, a trainer, bought the top lot Sept. 13. She paid 40,000 guineas for a Pursuit Of Love colt. His dam is a half-sister to Regal Flush, a contender in the St. Leger (gr. I) at Doncaster Sept. 15.
