Nahoodh continued trainer Mick Channon's impressive record in the Jaguar Cars Lowther Stakes (Eng-II) when his filly Nahoodh stormed home from last to easily capture the race by a half-length Aug. 23.

Channon had previously won the race with 2-year-old filly champions Bint Allayl, Queen's Logic, and Flashy Wings.  Nahoodh, who still had her maiden tag entering the race, has a bit to go before joining those top fillies, but it appears she is well on her way.

Nahoodh missed the break slightly, so jockey Jamie Spencer kept her at the rear of the field as Romantic Destiny and Fleeting Spirit led the fillies through the first few furlongs of the six-furlong contest.  Nahoodh began to make headway with two furlongs left, and she found herself in front with a furlong left.

Favored Visit, winner of Princess Margaret Stakes (Eng-III) last time out, came flying on the outside in the final yards and just missed catching Nahoodh.

Fleeting Spirit held on for third, three-quarters of a length farther back.  Time for the six-furlongs was 1:12.62.

You'resothrilling, the second choice in the field of 10, ran into traffic problems when making a bold move midway through the race and was pinched back to last.  She was never a factor thereafter and finished ninth.

Nahoodh is from the first crop of Poule d'Essai des Poulains (Fr-I) winner Clodovil, out of the Indian Ridge mare, Mise.
