A fund-raising event for breeder Sue Hubbard, severely injured in an automobile accident June 27, is being planned in conjunction with the California Thoroughbred Breeding Association’s horse auction Sept. 25 in Pleasanton.
Hubbard, who cannot work while she recovers from her injuries, has suffered a major financial setback following the accident. She owns a 200-acre operation east of Santa Margarita Lake in Paso Robles, Calif., that includes two standing stallions and about 100 mares and foals.
Anyone interested in helping may donate items for a silent auction, assist during the fundraiser, or make monetary donations to the "Friends of Sue." Contact Debbie Winick at CTBA, 626-975-3931 -- Blood-Horse staff
