Latonna Wilson, a marketing specialist with Rood and Riddle Pharmacy, joins the Horse Council as a board member of the health and welfare committee. Kristin Hix, legal and administrative coordinator at The Jockey Club, joins as a general board member.

"We are thrilled at the addition of these three highly talented and committed professionals to our board," said Millard. "The Kentucky Horse Council's new initiatives will benefit from their knowledge, industry contacts, and unique perspectives."

The next Kentucky Horse Council board meeting is Sept. 18 at the University of Kentucky's Maine Chance Farm and is open to Kentucky Horse Council members.
