Fruhlingshochzeit, who produced 17 foals, was euthanized at Carrie and Craig Brogden's Machmer Hall near Paris, Ky., after re-injuring a fractured knee.

The 23-year-old daughter of Blushing Groom was pensioned after producing a Yankee Gentleman   colt this year for Machmer Hall and Chip Montgomery.

Fruhlingshochzeit, who was bred in Kentucky by Khalid Abdullah's Juddmonte Farms and was stakes-placed in France, was the dam of nine winners, including the stakes-placed full sisters Blushing Ogygian and Tiny Decision (by Ogygian).

Another daughter, Fruhlingserwachen, produced Fruhlingsstrum, a champion in Holland.

A half-sister to millionaire Running Stag, Fruhlingshochzeit was out of the Orsini II mare Fruhlingstag.
