Dream Supreme won the Humana Distaff Handicap (gr. II) Saturday at Churchill Downs, possibly aided by the fact Alex Solis, aboard La Feminn, dropped his whip in the stretch.

La Feminn had the lead when they turned for home, but Pat Day moved Dream Supreme by and pulled away to an easy victory. Nany's Sweep finished third.

Dream Supreme, by Seeking the Gold--Spinning Round, by Dixieland Band, has now won four of five lifetime starts at seven furlongs. She ran the distance in 1:20.70. That time bested the track record that existed before Saturday (1:21.08). But, it had been broken earlier on the card when Alannan won the Churchill Downs Handicap (gr. II) in 1:20.50.

Dream Supreme is a 4-year-old homebred of George Steinbrenner's Kinsman Stable. She is trained by Bill Mott. Dream Supreme has won eight of 12 lifetime starts.

Dream Supreme paid $5 and $2.60 and La Feminn paid $2.60. There was no show wagering after two scratches left just a five-horse field.
