Flirtatious, dam of 2006 champion Wait a While, was euthanized July 20 following surgery. The 10-year-old daughter of A.P. Indyexperienced Wobbler syndrome.

Flirtatious, who raced as a homebred for William S. Farish and W. Temple Webber Jr., won or placed in 10 of 12 races and earned $171,266 while facing foes such as grade I winners Spain, Pompeii, and Gaviola. Following her retirement, she was sent to Farish's Lane's End Farm near Versailles, Ky.

Wait a While, who was Flirtatious' initial foal, became the first 3-year-old filly to win divisional honors off grass achievements. (Several others won turf championships.)  A daughter of Maria's Mon, Wait a While won four graded turf stakes, including the American Oaks Invitational (gr. IT) and Yellow Ribbon (gr. IT) Stakes. She also was a grade II winner on dirt. Campaigned by Arindel Farm, she remains in training.

Flirtatious, who was out of the Lord Avie mare Grand Charmer, produced a full sister to Wait a While in April and was not bred back. She also was the dam of a 3-year-old filly (by Tiznow  ), who was sent to the Philippines, and a Pleasantly Perfect   yearling colt.
