Demidoff, a full brother to major sire Gone West and second on this year's Minnesota sires list, has been purchased by Dr. M. Eldeeb for stallion duty at his Cross Creek Farm near Buffalo, Minn. His fee will be $3,000.

A 17-year-old son of Mr. Prospector, Demidoff has sired 17 stakes winners and 14 stakes-placed runners. They include 2007 added-money winners Standoff and Walter and earlier multiple stakes winners Kimbralata, Lethimthinkhesboss, and Adam Cat.

Demidoff, who was Minnesota's leading sire last year, boasts solid career numbers, siring 77% runners and 68% winners from foals. His offspring have earned $8.2 million.

Demidoff is out of the Secretariat mare Secrettame.
