Admire Moon, winner of group I races this year in Japan and Dubai, has been sold by owner Riichi Kondo to Sheikh Mohammed’s Godolphin for a reported $33 million ( ¥4 billion).
Japanese reports said Kondo confirmed July 24 the sale of the 4-year-old End Sweep colt.
Admire Moon, out of the Sunday Silence mare My Katies, began the year with a win in the Kyoto Kinen (Jpn-II), after which he was shipped to Dubai and won the Dubai Duty Free (UAE-I). Following a third win in Hong Kong in the Audemars Piguet Queen Elizabeth II Cup (HK-I), he returned to Japan, and on June 24 won the Takarazuka Kinen (Jpn-I).
Bred in Japan by Northern Farm, Admire Moon has won nine of 15 starts and has earnings of $7,877,051.
