Harlan's Holiday   came through with his first stakes winner July 21. Himself a four-time stakes winner at 2, Harlan's Holiday was represented by 2-year-old Bear Holiday, whose victory in the Colin Stakes at Woodbine was his second straight score for Bear Stables. The colt won at first asking in June at the Toronto oval.

Harlan's Holiday now ranks second on the freshman sires list and fourth overall among all sires of 2-year-olds, with progeny earnings of $259,944. Harlan's Holiday also is represented by winners at such tracks as Belmont Park, Hollywood Park, and Monmouth Park.

An 8-year-old son of Harlan, Harlan's Holiday won eight stakes during a career in which he captured three grade I events and earned $3,632,664. He stands at Brereton C. Jones' Airdrie Stud near Midway, Ky. His 2007 fee was $17,500.
