Bred in Florida by Lynn Toomey, Delayed Start ran the 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:07.17 to win by two lengths for Chester A. Bishop. She is the fifth winner from as many starters from multiple stakes producer Tooosalty (by Salt Lake).
