TOBA to Conduct New Owner Seminar
(Edited press release) The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association announced July 16 that it will conduct a New Owner Seminar at the Beresford Gallery in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Aug. 10. The seminar, sponsored by Blood-Horse Publications, will feature discussions on industry business issues, options for acquiring horses, including partnerships, auctions, and claiming, as well as a discussion about veterinary topics. Speakers include Don Little of Centennial Farms, Jack Wolf of Starlight Stables, and trainer Kiaran McLaughlin. The seminar will begin at 8 a.m. and will include lunch and an afternoon of racing at Saratoga. The registration fee for the New Owner Seminar is $75 for TOBA members and $100 for non-members and includes all support materials, admission, and presentations. TOBA’s next seminar is a Conformation and Pedigree Seminar scheduled for October 8-9 in Lexington. The seminar will include farm tours of Mill Ridge and Gainesway Farms, a pedigree workshop, and conformation evaluations.
