Brent and Crystal Fernung of Journeyman Bloodstock Services announced the creation of the stallion station, Journeyman Stud.

Following the closure of Cloverleaf Farm, Cloverleaf’s general manager, Brent Fernung and his wife, Crystal, decided to start a new stallion station. Brent will be Journeyman Stud’s president, while Crystal will serve as vice president.

Journeyman Stud will conduct business at Lucky Warrior Farm near Ocala, Fla., where the new farm will use the offices and the stallion barn.

Several of the old staff at Cloverleaf will join Brent and Crystal in this new Journeyman phase. Cloverleaf’s stallion/broodmare/yearling manager, Ken Breitenbecker will become the general manager. Several of the Journeyman Bloodstock and Cloverleaf people who have worked together for years will continue to do so. The new business endeavor is very much the same team doing business in a new location with a few different titles.

A stallion roster will be announced shortly.
