Freespool, Pure Precision Sire First Winners

Graded stakes winners Freespool and Pure Precision sired their first winners July 6. Pure Precision's daughter Purely Class won by 10 1/4 lengths at Evangeline Downs as a homebred for Emerald Pastures Corp. in her initial start. The Florida-bred filly ran the five furlongs in :58.66. She is the second winner from the Holy Mountain mare Spot the Class.

Freespool's initial winner, Joe's Cannon, won at five furlongs in 1:00 at Boise for N F S Stables at first asking. Bred in Idaho by Billingsley Creek Ranch, the gelding is the fifth winner from stakes producer Lucy's Magic (by Manzotti).

Freespool (Geiger Counter--Broadtail, by Olden Times) stands for $4,000 at Rick Taylor's Special T Thoroughbreds near Temecula, Calif., and Pure Precision (Montbrook  --Al's Helen, by Distinctive) stands for the same amount at Lou Gurino's Lou-Roe Farm near Morriston, Fla.
