Breeders' Cup will get some major-league media exposure June 22 when two racing industry participants address attendees at the Associated Press Sports Editors Convention in St. Louis, Mo.

Breeders’ Cup president Greg Avioli will be on hand at the breakfast meeting of more than 300 editors to discuss the Breeders’ Cup Challenge and new two-day format of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, this year scheduled for Oct. 26-27 at Monmouth Park in New Jersey. Trainer Kiaran McLaughlin will speak about his Breeders’ Cup experience last year when Invasor won the Breeders' Cup Classic - Powered by Dodge (gr. I).

Breeders’ Cup spokesman Chip Tuttle said the APSE convention is part of a communications tour Avioli has undertaken. He met with the Newark Star Ledger, the New York Post, and Sports Illustrated in New York the week of the Belmont Stakes (gr. I), and has meetings scheduled with the New York Times, Associated Press, and USA Today in the next few weeks.
