Browning, a filly by Jump Start   consigned by Shadybrook Farm, Inc. (Michael Yates), Agent, whose quarter in :21 flat was the sale’s fastest at the distance, went to R.E. Wilson, Agent for Thomasina Caporella, for $190,000 to top the opening session of the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's 2007 June Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training and Horses of Racing Age. Out of stakes placed Chandelier, by Majestic Light, the dark bay or brown filly is a half sister to graded stakes winner Queen of Money.

For the session, 155 horses sold for a total of $3,135,300, compared with 117 horses bringing $2,710,400 at last year’s opening session. The average price was $20,228, compared with $23,166 in 2006, while the median price was $12,000 compared with $14,000 last year. The buyback percentage was 35.9%; it was 35% in last year’s first session.  Fourteen horses sold for $50,000 or more compared with eight last year. 
               
Marquez Brothers Stable LLC went to $115,000 for Hip No. 5, a filly by Johannesburg consigned by Sescan, agent. The dark bay or brown filly, who worked three eighths in :33 3/5 at the Under Tack Show, is out of Base Line, by Deputy Minister.
               
Hip No. 312, Limestone Edge, a colt by Cat Thief   consigned by Gayle Woods, Agent, was sold for $115,000 to R.B. Hess, Jr.  The chestnut colt, who worked three eighths in :34 1/5 at the Under Tack Show, is out of Most Admired, by Unbridled, a half sister to grade one stakes winner Menhoubah.
               
Hip No. 119, a filly by Dream Run consigned by Ricky Leppala, agent, was sold to Joseph Brocklebank, Agent, for $100,000. The chestnut filly, whose eighth in :10 1/5 was co-fastest at the distance at Saturday’s Under Tack session, is out of Eternally Hopeful (GB), by Secretariat, a full sister to graded stakes placed Girl Friday.
