Empire Maker

Classic winner Empire Maker was represented by his first winner when his daughter Miss Red Delicious won June 18 by 13 1/2 lengths at Colonial Downs in her second start. A homebred for Katierich Stables, Miss Red Delicious won the 5 1/2 furlong race in 1:04.44. The Kentucky-bred filly is the first foal from the grade II stakes-placed Clever Trick mare Miss Mary Apples.

Winner of the Belmont Stakes (gr. I) and second in the Kentucky Derby (gr. I), Empire Maker (Unbridled--Toussaud, by El Gran Senor) raced as a homebred for Khalid Abdullah's Juddmonte Farms and stands at Juddmonte for $100,000.
