Sheikh Mohammed's Darley Australia has announced that Street Cry, sire of Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) winner Street Sense, would not return for a fifth season to Australia.

"We would like to assure breeders that this decision has not been taken lightly," Darley's Ollie Tait said. "We look forward to following Street Cry's Australian progeny over the next 12 months, and hope that he can return to Darley in Victoria in the future as his progeny in Australia progress."

Street Cry is based at Darley near Lexington. His 2007 fee is $50,000.

Street Cry's Northern Hemisphere crops not only include Street Sense, but eight other stakes winners, including additional 2007 graded winners Street Sounds and Street Magician and group winners Majestic Roi and Per Incanto.

Street Cry (Machiavellian--Helen Street, by Troy) was to stand at Darley Victoria for $16,000 (approximately $13,500 in U.S. funds).
