First Winner for Champion Vindication

Champion Vindication's first winner, Galiano, won June 10 at Lone Star Park. A homebred for Satish and Anne Sanan's Padua Stables, Galiano scored at 5 1/2 furlongs by four lengths in 1:04.71 in his first start. The Florida-bred colt is the second foal and second winner from the Gilded Time mare Gilded Minstrel.

Vindication (Seattle Slew--Strawberry Reason, by Strawberry Road) stands for $60,000 at John Sikura's Hill 'n' Dale Farms near Lexington.
