A More Than Ready filly was among the standouts during the under tack shows for Fasig-Tipton Midlantic preferred sale of 2-year-olds in training in Maryland. She turned in the fastest quarter-mile work, covering the distance in :21 1/5 at Timonium. Randy Miles, agent, is the consignor of the filly, which is out of the Tale of the Cat mare Summer Memories, a half sister to grade III winner Sunray Spirit.
The shows were conducted Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday's show was halted before its completion because of thunderstorms in the area. Around 25% of the 2-year-olds that were scheduled to work that day had their breezes moved to Thursday.
Eleven horses were the fastest at an eighth of a mile, each stopping the clock in :10 1/5.
A Yes It’s True filly was the fastest at three furlongs with a :33 3/5 work. Consigned by Double Knuck Stables and Mike Neatherlin, agents, the filly was produced by the Danzig Connection mare Danzig Tiger, a half-sister to grade III winner Chilito and other stakes winners Emery Board and Once a Sailor.
The auction will be held Monday and Tuesday, with selling beginning each day at 11 a.m. (EDT).
