The big question at Pimlico Friday morning is one that is impossible to answer. No, not who will win Saturday’s Preakness (gr. I), but will it rain?

Well, the forecast for Friday in Baltimore calls for a high temperature of 64 with a 30-40% chance of showers until 3 p.m., when the chance for precipitation jumps to 50% through 6 p.m.

On Saturday, the forecast is for a high of 73 and also contains a chance for precipitation.

The track currently is dry and appears in need of moisture.

Will it get some?
