Breeders' Cup winner Johar  , who stands at Mill Ridge Farm near Lexington, will not shuttle to Highview Stud in New Zealand this year. The 8-year-old son of Gone West first shuttled to Highview in 2005 under a deal that called for him to shuttle a minimum of three years.

"He has not adapted to the shuttling environment, and it was decided by both parties to keep him here," said stallion marketing and sales development director Bayne Welker.

Johar, who is out of the champion Lear Fan mare Windsharp, entered stud at Mill Ridge, owned by Alice Chandler and her husband, Dr. John Chandler, after a dead heated win in the 2003 John Deere Breeders' Cup Turf (gr. IT). His first foals are yearlings.
