Gentlewave, a 4-year-old Irish-bred who won the Derby Italiano (It-I), will stand at Haras du Thenney near Saint Pierre Azif, France.
Gentlewave (Monsun--Samareine, by Saumarez) finished first or second in all six starts and earned $1,004,510. In addition to winning the Derby Italiano, he captured two French stakes, including the Prix Noailles (Fr-II) and ran second in the Budweiser Irish Derby (Ire-I).
