Wiseman's Ferry Colt Among Fastest at Barretts

Two horses tied for the fastest eighth-mile workout during the second and final training preview in the 2007 Barretts May Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training conducted May 11.

The final workout session consisted of the second half of the catalog of horses for the May 15 auction.

Timed in 9 4/5 seconds for the one-furlong drill was a filly by Holy Bull who is a half-sister to stakes winner Lovewithoutend from the consignment of Excel Bloodstock (Bruno DeBerdt and Rudy Delguidice). Also clocking  :9 4/5 was a colt by from the first crop of Wiseman’s Ferry from the consignment of B.C.3. Thoroughbreds.  

The fastest quarter mile of :20 4/5 was also shared by two horses: a colt by Stephen Got Even   out of stakes-placed Datsafact consigned by Hartley/De Renzo Thoroughbreds. and a colt from the first crop of the brilliant but ill-fated Booklet.

Video clips of the training preview held Thursday are now available on-line. The video clips of the second preview on Friday should be available by Saturday afternoon.

The auction will be held in the Hinds Pavilion located on the grounds of Fairplex Park in Pomona, Calif., beginning at 10:30 a.m. The sale will be broadcast live on HRTV, as well as being streamed live at www.barretts.com.
