TVG To Offer Coverage of Monmouth Park Meet

TVG announced that it will welcome its newest exclusive racetrack partner, Monmouth Park, with live on-track coverage of the 2007 racing season’s opening weekend from the Jersey Shore racetrack.

The network is offering exclusive television coverage of the entire racing season from Monmouth Park for the first time in the network’s history. TVG analyst Matt Carothers will provide live on-site reports, interviews, and commentary for opening weekend festivities, which will be highlighted by the Decathlon Stakes May 12 and the Red Cross Stakes May 13, as well as the debut of numerous improvements to the Monmouth Park facility in preparation for the 2007 Breeders’ Cup World Championships, including a new main track surface.

TVG will provide complete coverage throughout the Monmouth Park racing season, which runs from May 12 through Sept. 2. The racing season will be highlighted by the following races, which will all be carried live on TVG:

—July 7 - grade I  $750,000 United Nations, a 1-3/8 mile turf race for 3-year-olds and up
—Aug. 5 - grade I  $1 million Haskell Invitational, a 1-1/8 mile race for 3-year-olds
—Aug.18 - grade III  $300,000 Philip H. Iselin, a 1-1/8 mile race for 3-year-olds and up
—Aug. 25 - grade II  $300,000 Molly Pitcher, a 1-1/16 mile race for fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
