Holzmeister, Meteor Storm, Tiger Heart to Brazil

Millionaire Meteor Storm and 13-year-old stallion Holzmeister, along with grade I stakes-placed Tiger Heart, have been purchased for stallion duty in Brazil.

Meteor Storm, an 8-year-old son of Bigstone out of the Rainbow Quest mare Hunt the Sun, was one of the top turf runners in 2004 while trained by trainer Wally Dollase. He scored his biggest win that year in the Manhattan Handicap (gr. IT) for Horizon Stable. He also captured that year's San Juan Capistrano Invitational (gr. IT) and San Luis Rey (gr. IIT) Handicaps and the following year's W.L. McKnight Handicap (gr. IIT).

Bred in Great Britain by Khalid Abdullah's Juddmonte Farms, Meteor Storm won seven of 27 races and earned $1,448,350 in North America and France. He will stand at Haras Figeuira do Lago near Sao Paulo.

Six-year-old Tiger Heart won or placed in 11 of 13 races and earned $314,184 for Buckram Oak Farm. Bred in Kentucky by Audubon Farm, he is by Scatmandu out of the Silver Deputy mare No Small Miracle. He will stand at Haras Santarem.

Lexington bloodstock consultant Renato Gameiro helped arrange the deal to send both horses to Brazil.

Holzmeister, who formerly stood at Drs. Ken and Linda Quirk's Q6 Ranch near Belton, Texas, will stand at Haras Castelo near Bage. Holzmeister (Woodman--Harbour Club, by Danzig) has sired five stakes winners, including grade II winner Dixie Meister and 2007 added-money winner Power Surge. His progeny earnings are $2 million.

Central Kentucky bloodstock agent Jose Laudo DeCamargo was involved in the arrangement of the deal to send Holzmeister to Brazil.
